The Applied Biosystems™ SeqStudio™ instrument application offers a comprehensive overview of the advancements in Sanger sequencing and fragment analysis integrated into the SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer. Building on a familiar workflow and reliable technology, the system now features an innovative all-in-one cartridge that significantly reduces setup time from hours to minutes.

The application provides two distinct viewing modalities to facilitate user engagement and learning. The first option involves placing a mobile device within a Cardboard VR headset, enabling users to perform virtual runs on the SeqStudio instrument. This immersive experience offers a 360-degree virtual lab environment, allowing users to observe the instrument in operation through gaze control, whereby the user interacts by focusing on selectable targets within the scene.

The second option grants access via a mobile device or tablet, providing a more interactive and detailed exploration of the instrument. Navigation within this mode is touch-based, with guided instructions such as “Welcome to the SeqStudio Genetic Analyzer” assisting users through operational procedures. Additional sections include “Instrument and Cartridge Details,” which delineate various components of the system, along with other interfaces for application management, analysis software, and web-based tools.
